In the woods, this new residence had a walled entry court designed by the architect. We helped knit home, court and forest together.

This bronze figure commands the court’s center.
Boxwood hedges echo the front court’s masonry walls to define “outdoor rooms” behind the house, also punctuated with sculpture.
In contrast to the rectilinear geometry of the home’s other areas, the swimming pool invites relaxation with its curved figure. The perennial plants in the foreground are spaced for future growth; in a year or so no mulch will be visible.
